1866 Limited Edition Emma Lindström

A specially designed limited edition created in collaboration with the Swedish artist, Emma Lindström. 

The collaboration draws parallels between Emma Lindström's fluid art and the artisanal craftsmanship used to make Brandy 1866, the mixing of brandies and colours in dynamic movement. The art of  blending which, with the passage of time, gives rise to a true work of art. 

To create the limited edition packaging design, the brand's Master Blender, Marcos Alguacil, invited the  artist to the Osborne Bodegas in El Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz, where she discovered a new source  of inspiration: the crafting of 1866. 

The artisanal criaderas and solera system used to make 1866, unique due to its 16 scales, and the warm, brilliant colours of the brandy, inspired Emma when making her masterpiece. The artist brought  her perspective and unique style to the design of the bottle and gift box for our iconic brand. 

"This project really inspired me to get out of my comfort zone and explore a completely new colour palette. What _rst and foremost grabbed my attention was the beautiful rich  amber colour of Brandy 1866. A new colour that I felt the urge to explore and incorporate in my art. When visiting the bodega in El Puerto de Santa Maria, it struck me that there are many similarities between my style of _uid art and 1866’s craftsmanship. Fluids  moving over time; blending, then resting; becoming something new and unique.” 

1866 Brandy de Jerez Solera Gran Reserva is a masterpiece that stands out for its balance, smoothness, quality and exquisiteness that won the award for the Best Spirit Drink with Geographical Indication in 2023 in the Spanish Food Awards (Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food) and which condenses more than 100 years of tradition and quality.

NOTAS DE CATA
A la vista: de color ámbar dorado con ribetes yodados.
A la nariz: gran intensidad aromática, profundo, con ligeras notas de vainilla, cacao y frutos secos.
A la boca: delicado seco y profundo, con gran permanencia en boca. Notas de roble, torrefactos y frutos secos.

RECOMENDACIÓN DE CONSUMO Para disfrutar tomándolo sólo, a media tarde. Nuestro “perfect serve”; en un vaso bajo añadimos un hielo robusto, preferiblemente con una base de agua mineral. El hielo aportará frescor y se derretirá lentamente preservando la identidad del brandy 1866 y sus intensas notas a roble, torrefactos y frutos secos.
