VIÑA CUMBRERO RESERVA TASTING NOTE
Appearance: cherry red colour, clean and bright. Medium intensity.
Nose: powerful and direct on the nose, spicy with notes of forest floor and clove. Fruit compote still present in the background.
Palate: lively, with notes of vanilla, a good level of acidity and polished, expressive tannins. A long aftertaste with an elegant finish of quality oak.
VINEYARDS AND WINEMAKING
Varieties: 100% Tempranillo.
Crafted exclusively from selected grapes from vineyards located in the best areas of Rioja Alta, harvested carefully by hand.Alcoholic fermentation takes place in small Ganímede steel tanks with 15 days maceration followed by malolactic fermentation in cement tanks. Ageing in hand-crafted American oak barrels for 24 months, followed by at least twelve months' bottle conditioning to ensure that it is perfectly refined and ready to drink.
