Viña Cumbrero Crianza
TASTING NOTE FOR VIÑA CUMBRERO CRIANZA
Appearance: Intense garnet red, clean and bright.
Nose: spicy, with notes of ripe fruit and aromas related to ageing in quality oak barrels.
Palate: Elegant structure, with good acidity, with notes of ripe fruit that reappear and soft oak.
Pairing: Red meats, pasta and rice dishes.
VINEYARDS AND WINEMAKING
Soil: Chalky-clay.
Climate: moderate, abundant rainfall and a long spring and autumn.
Winemaking: cold vatted with pre-fermentative maceration to extract varietal aromas and colour. Each of the varieties ferment separately in Ganimede tanks and undergo malolactic fermentation in underground cement tanks.It then starts ageing in American oak barrels for 14 months, and finally, it spends a period refining in the bottle.
