Solera India

According to legend, this wine travelled thousands of miles before reaching its final destination: the diplomatic missions of the Spanish crown in its former South American colonies - "Las Indias."
D.O.: Jerez.
Tasting notes: unctuous, velvety and slightly saline.
Alcohol: 22% vol.
Aged: 25 years (S/A).
Format: 50 cl bottle.
Wine type: Medium.

Vinified as a white wine. Gentle pressing and settling of the must for twelve hours. Temperature-controlled fermentation at 28ºC. Aged in the traditional system of soleras and criaderas in American oak barrels. This process is favoured by the particular microclimate of el Puerto de Santa María, where our wineries are located, with moderate temperatures and levels of humidity throughout the year.

Appearance: A very deep, almost opaque mahogany colour.
Nose: A wine with enormous aromatic potential, a great bouquet of oxidation, in which notes of wood from its prolonged contact with oak during the ageing process are perfectly integrated with notes of roasted coffee, nutmeg, toasted caramel and raisins.
Palate: A well-structured wine, rich, unctuous, velvety, slightly saline, very expressive and tannic on the palate with a very long finish.

When to drink: An ideal wine for drinking as an aperitif or after meals, either on its own or with dessert.

Serving temperature: Consume at an optimum temperature of 15ºC / 59ºF.
