Solaz Tempranillo Cabernet Sauvignon
Located in the Spanish region of Tierra de Castilla, our property in Malpica de Tajo is the largest family-owned vineyard estate in the whole of Europe.Our vineyards are located on the banks of the River Tajo, 500 metres above sea level and surrounded by the Toledo and Sierra de Gredos mountains. The chalk and clay soils and sunny climate provide the ideal conditions for cultivating quality grapes.
50 % Tempranillo 50 % Cabernet Sauvignon
Fermented at a controlled temperature that does not exceed 24ºC. Intense maceration during the first phase of fermentation, which lasts for 11 days, to fully extract the aromas and colour. Malolactic fermentation is then carried out at 20º to soften the wine while preserving its distinctive varietal character. Estate bottled.
An intense garnet red, clean and bright.
Aroma and Flavour:
Elegant and well-balanced, with notes of red and black fruits and spices. On the palate it displays notes of ripe fruit and black chocolate. Smooth, rounded tannins with a long, persistent finish.
FOOD PAIRINGS AND SERVING SUGGESTIONS
A versatile and easy-drinking wine that goes extraordinarily well with a wide range of dishes. The ideal accompaniment to red meats, roast chicken, pasta dishes and Spanish tapas. Serving temperature: 17ºC / 63ºF.
