A sherry with more than 100 years of history

The result of a long tradition of and extensive experience in producing sherry, the family keeps a unique collection of extraordinary soleras fundacionales, amongst which is Solera AOS.

It is a true gem in the world of wine, made using a system of criaderas and soleras with only 39 casks. It is a dry, full-bodied sherry, which is aged for an average of 25 years. Its production it is an art in itself and dates back to 1903, when the 2nd Count of Osborne, Don Tomás Osborne Guezala, created a solera to mark the birth of his son Antonio. It was his explicit wish that it should remain closed and no sherry be bottled until 1924, the year in which his son came of age.

This is the reason behind its name, AOS, which is made up of the initials of Antonio Osborne, plus the ‘S’ from solera, as each year, 1,470 50 cl bottles from this solera fundacional are made available by the Osborne family to sherry lovers.

This award is further recognition of Osborne’s dedication and skill, which have been reflected in its products throughout its almost 250 years of history. It also shows its commitment to excellence and quality, and confirms its reputation in the world of wine in Spain and around the world.
