The Osborne Group has just announced an agreement with Italian company Illva Saronno to become the sole distributor of two of its most iconic brands in Spain, Disaronno and Tia Maria, from 1 January 2020 (Varma will continue to distribute these products until 31 December 2019). The agreement will see Osborne expand its portfolio in Spain, in line with its Strategic Plan 2019-2021, which places emphasis on the company strengthening its own products and expanding its portfolio of premium brands through innovation, acquisitions and third-party distribution agreements.

This agreement comes following a number of very successful distribution agreements for leading brands such as Red Bull, Monster Energy Drink, Seagram’s Gin and Santa Teresa rum, which have all gained significant ground in the Spanish market thanks to Osborne.

In the words of Fabio Boldini, CEO of Illva Saronno, ‘Spain is very important for our growth strategy and one of the cornerstones in terms of our expansion in Europe. This partnership will allow us to benefit from Osborne’s strong position in various sales channels, thus providing us with the opportunity to expand the presence of our brands in Spain’.

Disaronno and Tia Maria are about to join the prestigious ranks of other third-party brands, including Brockmans Gin, Flor de Caña rum, Passport Scotch Whisky and 100 Pipers Whisky, currently distributed by Osborne.

Two very Italian liqueurs

Tia Maria is a coffee liqueur which combines the very best 100% Arabica coffee with a hint of Madagascar vanilla and Jamaican rum. Its pronounced aroma of coffee with subtle notes of chocolate and pipe tobacco is balanced out with caramelised cane sugar and vanilla. Made by Illva Saronno, it remains faithful to the original Caribbean formula and is enjoyed in more than 60 countries around the world. Tia Maria is the ideal liqueur for coffee-based cocktails.

Disaronno is the jewel in Illva Saronno’s crown and holds a special place in the hearts of Italians. Its smooth taste and unmistakable aroma mean it enjoys a cult status as an Italian style icon in more than 160 countries worldwide. Its unique and distinctive glass bottle, made by skilled artisans in Murano (Venice), quirky square top and gold label give it a certain contemporary elegance and style.
