La Honda Amontillado en Rama
La Honda Amontillado en Rama

La Honda Amontillado en Rama

Likely founded from the solera of Fino la Honda solera from 1852 - the butts are more modern than those of Fino La Honda. It is worth noting its location in Bodega de La Honda, one of the oldest wineries in El Puerto de Santa María, and close to the residence of the former president of the company, Don Antonio Osborne. This bodega boasted a peculiar feature that gave rise to its name - Honda, meaning ‘deep’. It was located below the level of the surrounding properties, providing the wines with unique qualities due to the special microclimate in the winery, which was very humid and protected from temperature changes.
