Storage: the ham should be stored in a cool, well ventilated area until you are ready to eat it.After reception, the cover and wrapping paper should be removed.
To cut the ham correctly, the right utensils should be used. A "jamonero" stand to support the ham, allowing you to carve it easily, a wide bladed knife to clean the inner and outer face of the ham, a long, flexible ham carving knife and knife sharpener are the basic tools needed to be able to make the most of your leg of ham. It is very important to keep the cutting area clean and to cover the cut face of the ham adequately. This will stop the ham from drying out. To protect the ham, we recommend covering the exposed area with thin slices of fat from the ham itself.
