Initially a billboard, the Osborne bull “has exceeded its advertising sense and has been integrated into the landscape.” It has received numerous awards and has been the focus of numerous cultural and artistic activities.
In 1983 the bull was decorated by the American artist Keith Herring, in 1996 it starred in the photographic exhibition of Larry Mangino and hosted the Contemporary Art Fair ARCO.
In 2000, it received the AUS Award and during 2003 it was chosen as the most representative design of the twentieth century by the Development and Decorative Arts partners.
It has recently been decorated and interpreted by 50 international personalities on the occasion of its 50th anniversary. It has also been featured in numerous exhibitions devoted to graphic design.
