Nordés Gin

Nordés Gin

Denomination:

Galicia - España

Category:

Gin

Elaboration process:

NORDÉS is a gin created from a slow and unhurried distillation process. To obtain the wine spirit, which is the heart and soul of the product, a portion of local Galician “albariño” grapes is used. The distillate is then flavored by steeping in 12 botanicals obtained locally and from overseas.

In addition to juniper, it has a number of wild Galician plants such as lemon verbena, bay leaves and eucalyptus. It also includes salicornia (samphire) – a marine plant -, cardamom, peppermint, ginger, hibiscus, black Ceylon tea, sage and quinine

Serving recommendation:

Although its perfumed character might appear to make it a gin which is unsuitable for mixing with tonic, it exceeds expectations provided the tonic used is dry and bitter. Its aromatic character makes it pleasant to drink on its own, served very cold.

Perfect serve: with tonic, ice, grape carpaccio and a bay leaf. An original, yet simple preparation which strengthens its Galician character.

The ideal glass is a wide tube glass, which is not too tall.

Nordés Gin is an Atlantic Galician Spirits trade mark.
